Jason Schoener (1919 – 1997)

Jason Schoener was introduced to Georgetown by his uncle, William Zorach, in his late teens. He enjoyed several summers at the Zorach farm painting with his cousin, Dahlov Ipcar. After his war service, he and his wife Ginny bought a farmhouse on the island and summered there until his death in 1997.

Since 2005, Susie Wren has been managing and exhibiting Jason’s art estate. She currently holds the remainder of his Maine paintings, and shows them by appointment, or at local venues.
